【摘要】对于现在的英语教学，课外作业的设计上仍有很大的缺陷，作业是课堂教学的自然延续和补充，也是巩固、深化和掌握知识不可或缺的重要手段，是提高教学质量的重要途径。但是在现在的教学环境下，英语作业虽然对雪生巩固语言起到了一定的作用，但是却严重忽视了英语语言的综合运用。很多英语作业却结构性十分单一，并且更多的都是抄写性和背诵性的机械作业作业，其作业内容十分的枯燥。随着新课程改革的不断推进，各种先进的教学策略也不断地涌现，先进的作业策略也不断的前进，英语课外作业是对英语学习的有效延伸。

First, avoid homework, "one size fits all", teach students in accordance with their aptitude
