There is electricity in our house and to run pumps.

这里为何有and呢？去掉and不也是可以的嘛？



and 确实多余，删去。把 in our house 换换地方，就非常明显了：

There is electricity in our house to run pumps.

In our house there is electricity to run pumps.

There is electricity to run pumps in our house.
